with Ricky Tran

Sanskrit, an Indo-European language is known as one of the mother-tongues of all languages.

It is currently an unspoken language similar to Latin. It is the language that many Eastern spiritual traditions are recorded.

We will dive deeply into the history of the language as well as learning proper pronunciation.

We will explore common and some uncommon names for yoga postures as well as Sanskrit words used in yoga and related texts such as the Bhagavad Gita, Yoga Yajnavalkya, Sankhya Karika, Brahma Sutra.

We will also explore and chant some Sanskrit mantra in this course.

Ricky Tran, BBA, E-RYT 500, YACEP, CBA, serial yoga-preneur, creator of the Breakfast Yoga Club (Houston), the Tranband yoga prop, a few yoga studios, and traveling teacher, is widely recognized as an accomplished yoga practitioner and teacher.
