WHAT KIND OF YOGA WILL I LEARN?
Roger’s background is Baptiste Power Yoga and Vinyasa Flow and Albina’s background is Forrest Yoga. Our teaching styles are influenced by our lineage. By the end of the teacher training, you will have the basic understanding of what goes into an intelligent class sequence for a vinyasa flow/hatha yoga.
I’M WORRIED “I’M NOT READY YET”?
Your yoga, or asana practice has nothing to do with your readiness to complete a yoga teacher training. All that is required is your desire to go deeper into yoga. You don’t even have to teach yoga, if you don’t want to. At the end of this teacher training, you will acquire the skills to elevate every single area of your life, step into your innate power and create the life you yearn for.
WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?
This is a 200 hour teacher training, which means we will deliver 200 hours worth of content, the large majority of which is pre-recorded content. This enables you to study and complete your RYT200 certification on your own time and your convenience. One of the gifts of this program is that you can come out of this moment of physical distancing fully certified to begin to teach yoga safely and effectively. There will be 3 LIVE zoom sessions on the following Saturdays: Jan 16, Feb 20, Mar 6 9AM-12PM CST. This is an opportunity for us all to have live interactions, answer your questions and provide uplifting real-time feedback on your teaching.
DO I HAVE TO ATTEND ALL OF THE SESSIONS?
Although live zoom content will be recorded, your participation in live zoom sessions on Jan 16, Feb 20 and Mar 6 is required. This fulfills Yoga Alliance requirements for RYT200.
WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
There are no refunds or partial refunds. We commit to delivering the full training to you and you commit to completing it when you register. If you choose not to complete it, that is not a basis for a refund. Please be fully committed before registering. If you have additional questions or you can email us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
DO I HAVE TO BE ABLE TO STAND ON MY HEAD OR HANDSTAND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROOM TO BE A YOGA TEACHER?
No. We don’t care what level of physical practice you have. The only prerequisite is to commit to a regular practice of yoga and meditation during the training (and hopefully forever after), and not just on the days when we have class (a short daily practice is OK). We prefer you focus on what you CAN do, rather than what you CANNOT YET do. As the saying goes, practice and all is coming.
HOW COME IT’S ONLY $499? IS IT ANY GOOD?
Yes, we think so. We simply are attempting to make it affordable during these uncertain times. We normally charge $3,500 for this same training in person. We have trained hundreds of outstanding yoga teachers over the years and we’ve been leading trainings regularly since 2009. Between us, we have over 40 years of yoga practice, 26 years of teaching yoga and 22 years of leading teacher trainings. You are in good hands.
ARE THERE PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE?
Yes, but you will pay more this way. The least expensive way to pay a one-time payment of $499 (or a payment plan of 4 consecutive monthly payments of $150 for a total of $600). You must be paid in full prior to receiving a certificate of completion of the course.
HOW MUCH TIME DO I HAVE IN ORDER TO COMPLETE MY STUDIES AND RECEIVE RYT200 CERTIFICATION?
Currently, Yoga Alliance allows us to offer on-line trainings through December 31, 2021. Please complete your work and submit your homework by Dec 31, 2021.
WHAT IS THE HOMEWORK?
Once you register for the program, you will receive an automated email with all the details, including the homework requirements. Remember, this is a 200-hour program. Please know that this will require a minimum of 200 hours of work on your part.
WHEN DOES THE TRAINING START?
We start on Jan 16, 2021 with our first zoom call 9AM-12PM CST. Please expect to meditate and practice yoga. Every week you will receive a new Module with detailed instructions on what videos to watch and what work to complete. You have till Dec 31, 2021 to complete your work.
