The meditation practices plant the seeds for expanded consciousness and easing suffering.

Blue Sky Retreat Center at the Historic San Geronimo Lodge is a historic property that was built in 1925.
It is a signature New Mexico style adobe construction with a chili pepper-shaped swimming pool (open from Memorial Day to Labor Day), a hot tub (open year-round), a yoga yurt, a Native American sweat lodge, a meditation path, a garden and a labyrinth. It has been a farm house, a sanatorium, a boarding school and now a bed & breakfast and a retreat center that can host yoga, meditation, art retreats, company gatherings, weddings and family reunions.
We have 18 uniquely decorated rooms that vary from a cozy and romantic get-away for 2 with a warm and inviting fire place to larger rooms that can host a family of 6 or 7. Every room has its own full bathroom.
Blue Sky Retreat Center and bed & breakfast has a spacious dining hall that can be a beautiful space for a wedding reception, a formal dinner for a large group of people, or an inviting space for a yoga retreat for 30-50. Roger and
Albina are the owners of Blue Sky Retreat Center.
Albina’s mother, Marina, is an exceptional cook and she will preparing all of our meals with lots of love and care.
P.S. due to CV19, the hot tubs is currently closed and the sweat lodges are not a good idea. It is quite cold in the yurt in Feb, so we will not be using it. Instead, you will get to enjoy all the snow you want. Blue Sky is just a few yards away from the Kit Carson National Forrest, which makes it a perfect spot for a walking meditation.
P.P.S. the rooms with fireplaces are on first come, first serve basis. If you want a room with a fireplace, book your spot ASAP and let Albina know your room preference. Look at all the rooms HERE
Most people drive to Taos (we live in Austin, TX/Houston prior to that and we drive back and forth all the time.
The closest airports are Santa Fe and ABQ. If you fly in, you can rent a car or schedule a shuttle service that will drop you off at Blue Sky front door. You can car pull with your fellow retreatants.
What are your Covid-19 practices?
You will be asked to wear a mask indoors.
How do I decide my lodging option?
We recommend single occupancy room in case you are attending alone. If you are attending with a close friend or a family member, you can choose double of triple occupancy. Please note that the price is per person.
Please note that housekeeping will not be offered during your silent retreat. Smoking is prohibited on the property. Well-behaved, house-trained dogs are welcome at $20 additional charge. Not all rooms have a fireplace. These rooms will go on the first come, first serve basis. Please let Albina know you want a room with a fireplace asap.
DATES: Feb 24-28, 2021 (we will start at 5PM on Feb 24 and you can depart right after breakfast on Feb 28)
WHAT TO BRING: layers of clothes. February in Taos can be very snowy. Pack a warm jacket, a hat, gloves, a scarf, snow boots if you have them (they are nice to have if you want to do a walking meditation). Pack a journal, a pen, lip balm, and refillable water bottle.
TRANSPORTATION: If you decide to drive to Taos, download awesome podcasts and great audio books. Pack snacks and make sure you fill up your gas tank every time you see a gas station. We recommend driving a four-wheel or all-wheel car in case it snows. If you fly to Santa Fe or ABQ, rent a four-wheel or all-wheel car, or get a shuttle service to drop you off at Blue Sky. We like Taos Ski Valley shuttles.
